Bremen, 28 November 2023. The 37th International Cotton Conference in Bremen will take place on 20-22 March 2024.
In the Bremen Cotton Exchange’s 151st business year, the event will be held for the first time at the Bremen Parliament. “I am looking forward to welcoming visitors from Germany and abroad. Bremen has always been a magnet for the cotton family, and we have plenty prepared for them”, said Jean-Paul Haessig, President of the Bremen Cotton Exchange.
“There is a first-rate conference programme to which we attach great importance. The events before and after the main programme are now well established. Bremen is world-renowned as a centre for cotton quality. We bring the expertise here and wish to underpin this reputation with a fantastic conference”, said Haessig.

Events in the run-up
In 2024 too, the Bremen Conference will be embedded in an entire cotton week, including several other events from Monday to Friday. On Tuesday, 19 March the Cotton Exchange, FIBRE, ITMF and IVGT will once again present the Textile & Spinners Seminar. The seminar will be attended by the ITMF Cotton Testing Committee, several ICAC expert committees such as SEEP and CSITC, as well as other organisations such as the Discover Natural Fibres Initiative and European cotton traders.
New venue
The 37th International Cotton Conference Bremen starts on Wednesday, 20 March 2024. This year’s venue will be Bremen’s parliament building, the Haus der Bürgerschaft, right next to the Bremen Cotton Exchange. This means that the event will still be on Bremen market square, very close to all the other conference locations. In the parliamentary banqueting hall, attendees can discover the latest findings from the world of cotton, while enjoying wonderful views of the square with its famous ensemble of historic buildings.
Bremen Cotton Night at the medieval Bremer Ratskeller
On Thursday evening, the cotton community will return to the Ratskeller. Dating from 1405, this medieval wine cellar under Bremen’s Town Hall is the perfect location for visitors from all over the world to sample Bremen’s hospitality, good food and local beer. The Bremen Cotton Night is included in the conference ticket.
