You’ve got unique ideas for topics and speakers for the 35th International Cotton Conference Bremen? Let us know.

The 35th International Cotton Conference Bremen will take place from March 25 to 27, 2020 at the impressive medieval Town Hall of the Hanseatic Town of Bremen, Germany. The Conference will be surrounded by the Bremen Cotton Week (March 23 to 27) with several additional cotton and textile related meetings and workshops.

Visitors from all over the world are expected to attend this bi-annual event. The whole value added chain from cotton breeding and production via testing and trading to processing and textiles is represented in its topics, and the Conference visitors reflect the whole scope of the world of cotton.

This year’s theme is: PASSION FOR COTTON!

The Bremen Conference is a unique meeting opportunity for people from ALL sectors of the cotton business and from all continents.

You are invited to submit proposals for topics and speakers through our Call for Papers.

Conference topic areas

Present your own topic at the 35th International Cotton Conference Bremen.

Conference topic areas are:
  • Cotton breeding and production in the regions
  • Cotton quality and testing
  • Cotton trading
  • Textile processing: spinning, weaving/knitting, finishing
  • Innovative textile and technical cotton based products
  • Developments in the textile and apparel market
  • Competition in the fibre market
  • Sustainability aspects in cotton and textile production
  • Circular economy: Chances and limitations
  • In-depth research topics: From research to innovation

You have the opportunity to present your topic as a conference presentation, breakout session presentation, conference poster or as a presentation at other events during the Bremen Cotton Week such as:

  • New: Young Professionals* Seminar: Creating the cotton world of 2040
  • New: Annual country focus: Cotton production and processing in Ethiopia
  • ITMF** / IVGT*** Spinners and Textile Seminar
  • ITMF** International Committee on Cotton Testing Methods

For submitting your proposals, please send your information to conference@faserinstitut.de, including author, company, contact info, topic, abstract and preferred kind of presentation (conference presentation, poster, other event).

In addition, we invite you to recommend interesting topics and their presenters besides your own presentation.

The deadline for submission is July 31, 2019.
