You’ve got unique ideas for topics and speakers for the 38th International Cotton Conference Bremen? Let us know!

The 38th International Cotton Conference Bremen will take place from 25 to 27 March 2026 in Bremen, Germany. The event will be surrounded by a complete Bremen Cotton Week with several additional cotton and textile related meetings and workshops. The conference will take place on site in Bremen. It will also be possible to participate online.

Visitors from all over the world are expected to attend this bi-annual event. The whole cotton value chain from breeding and production, testing and trading to processing, textiles and retail is represented in the conference topics. The conference visitors reflect the whole scope of the cotton world.

The Bremen conference is a unique meeting opportunity for people from all sectors of the cotton business and from all continents. The event is organised by the Fibre Institute Bremen (Faserinstitut Bremen e.V.) and the Bremen Cotton Exchange (BBB).

You are invited to submit proposals for topics and speakers through our Call for Papers. We welcome submissions of original work related, but not limited, to the following themes:

Conference topic areas

  • Cotton production in the regions
  • Cotton ginning
  • Cotton quality and testing

  • Textile processing: spinning, weaving/knitting, finishing
  • Developments in the textile production in the regions
  • Innovative textile and technical cotton-based products
  • Competition in the fibre market
  • Developments in the textile and apparel sector
  • Developments in the fashion industry / retail; consumer expectations
  • Sustainability in fibre and textile production
  • Developments in legislation and legal restrictions

You will have the opportunity to present your topic as a conference presentation, during a panel discussion, or in the form of a conference poster. Additionally, you may opt to present either at the main conference or at one of the other events taking place during Bremen Cotton Week, which include

  • Spinners and Textile Seminar (ITMF / IVGT)
  • International Committee on Cotton Testing Methods (ITMF)
  • ICAC Panels like CSITC, SEEP
  • Discover Natural Fibres Initiative (DNFI)
